Didn't you ask who WOULD rather have one particular thing, instead of another? Not, who would rather have the other? I wonder if the question went misunderstood?
I made a post a while back asking who IS buying a Rubicon and there were many posts from people who were not buying one. In the words of Jim Morrison--"People Are Strange"

The Rubicon is built better, but I would get the Sportsman for performance reasons.

It will continue to win shootouts until somebody else does the IRS thing. Thats about it.

Had a 1999 SP 500. Sold it and bought a Rubicon If I wanted to go 60+ miles per hour I would have bought a sport quad. I also like Honda's reputation for dependability and reliability.
I still have my 1988 Foreman and have had no problems with it.

Interesting...the Polaris owners would take the Sportsman and the Honda owners would want the Rubicon. That totally amazes me!

Rubicon here for obvious reasons. ALso like the Polaris sp500, but didn't however want to deal with belt slippage ever or loosing ground clearance when loaded down. Oh, also didn't like the high center of gravity and combo with IRS. Tipsy! Like my drum breaks, no mud, vines or grass winding up in them and keeping them from working or lasting. Like the LCD screen on the Rubicon. Like the fact i can have it on Manual, or full Auto and SPcan't. Like full-time 4x4 on my quad. Like the engine mounted sideways and the drysump idea. Didn't want to play with grease guns before or after a ride. Like the weight advantage the Rubicon has. Dependability and Resale value also played a role. Oh, and the tranny, well it's just plain the best thing since sliced bread. (Until something goes wrong with it!!!!) So i would think that most everyone that bought Honda would agree and most that bought Polaris won't. That's the idea, I would guess that is why not everyone owns a Polaris or Honda. But I might add my second choice over the Rubicon was a SP500 or a Y2Kodiak.

Okay Cobb, put down the PJ and throw in from on high--about 8000 feet above sea level? What is your motto? Old age and treachery will win out over youth and ignorance.

Oops! Sorry, not use to the auto tranny yet. Must have been feeling for the foot shifter.
