Default no low range?

Hey all,

I'm a newbie to atv riding. Been riding for about a year but just now buying my first ATV.

I just put a down payment on an '05 Honda Rincon but it's not too late to switch to a Grizzly 660 or the Artic Cat. My only concern with the Honda is that I won't be able to put it into low range 4 wheel drive. Has anyone had any problems b/c they didn't have this feature?

thanks.

thanks guys. not sure what I'm gonna do, looking around I've found that a lot of people have problems with the AC so I'll stay away from that. I really like the features of the grizz but also hard to pass up the reliability of the honda. I'll tell ya what though, I keep coming back to that grizzly.

Are you insisting on an automatic transmission? To me, complexity of the transmission and no engine-braking, put the Honda out of any consideration. And, rubber band drive and a tippy chassis, sink the griz.

Honda has a new Foreman 475, have you taken a look at it? It has a nice simple reliable manual transmission! No low range, but Honda puts on a real low 1st gear.

I'm not insistent on the transmission, more so the power. I like the idea of a 600 class atv. From what I can tell they are all automatics.
