I', trying to figure out which machine to get, the 2004 Rubicon or 2005 Rincon?

There are some pluses with the Rincon (for the most part traxlok) but the rincon is 1400 more exspensive... Which machine is more dependable. I will be plowing and trail riding, now farm to work on here but I like the racks and the durability of the racks on the rubicon, the shifter seems more convenient than on the rincon also...

Have you Rincon owners any pros and cons about the machine and if you were to do it again, would you opt for the rubicon to save 1400.00?

I have heard that some rubicon's can have the warn 4-2-4 installed to unlock the front drive, is this dependable? Someone had said that it's harder to steer than the 2wd rubicon...would that still be true if I were to unlock the front drive w/the 4-2-4?

Any advice would certainly be appreciated.

the rincon has irs independent rear suspension but no low range the rubicon will pull more becuase of low range but rincon will be a better trail rider.

 

2 totally different machines its like choosing between night and day.

Wouldnt a foreman be top of the list for reliabilty.

 

Definately in my mind. Also at the top for my list of utility and work machines.

 

I heard that the Rubicon has more low end power than the Rincon and that the Rincon would be out-pulled in a competition. This makes the Rubicon better for farm work and plowing as you said you would be doing. My advice is to buy the Rubicon, take the 1400 dollars that you saved and go buy a 4-wheel drive unlocker for the Rubicon. This way you will have a more powerful quad that is just as good or better on the trails and save $1000.

 

imo i would go with the forman 450. the rubicon and the rincon is nice but if you want work machine dont go with the autos. you can shift all three but the rincon and the rubicon still rely on autos to make there shifts. but either way you will be happy

 

Rincon - Fast trail machine, more sport oriented
Rubicon - slow trail machine, utility oriented
450 - the tractor that never breaks

I would say the rincon is a fun machine with the IRS more top end, and basically just more sportier. The rubicon, to me, looks like a pure work quad. Then there is the 450, which is a really nice machine. It's a work quad that you can have a lot of fun with by putting it in 2x4. Also, its cheaper.

 

I WAS GOING TO GET THE RINCON WHEN I GOT MY RUBICON BUT THE PRICE AND THE LACK OF LOW GEAR MADE ME GET THE RUBCICON.

plus the new rubicon has 2 and 4 wheel drive witch makes it eaven better.
i would go with the rube all the way.
