Default Rincon chirping sound

When I first take off and the engine is cold, I get a chirping sound from my 2005 Rincon. The ATV is only a month old and I didn't notice it at first. Does anyone know what is causing this? I'm taking it in for warranty work as my reverse selector doesn't engage fully but I was still interested in knowing what the problem was before I took it to the dealer. Thanks.

Default Rincon chirping sound

I think most of them did it when they first got theirs. Mine did. I think they traced it to a washer that was knurled and causing the noise. I think some were changed out but most just wore the knurls off until it was flat and the noise went away. For a couple of oil changes, I was seeing some metal flakes in the old oil which I attributed to this wearing of the washers. After about 3 months, it just went away. Some have claimed it was the pump refilling the torque converter after sitting over night. I feel that if that was what was going on, it would still be doing it. After you have a few hundred miles on it, you might consider switching over to Shell Rotella T Synthetic oil. It is a 15-40 weight oil. Just my $.02 worth.

Oldtimer - Have you found the Rincon site yet? Come take a look.
