Something to think about. What would you think about this question 2 years ago when Polaris sold more quads than anyone else? They did lead all sales in 1998. Would you have called them second best that year? 1st, 3rd, last? Kind of kills the arguement here doesn't it.

About the number of posts. Up until the impending arrival of the Rubicon (about may), Polaris had hundreds more posts than the Honda forum. Look what the upcoming Raptor has done to the Yamaha forum! It's only normal that the newer models attract more attention. As for the only seeing Honda quads...It all depends on where you ride my friend!

As for Polars being superior...in some areas yes and in some no.

Give it a rest, this is an old subject.

I agree with Xplor.
Give it a rest. What exactly is this thread supposed to be? It sounds like whining to me. Who cares who sells more? I don't, and niether do most people. Just buy the machine you like and go riding. Thats all that matters.
And it does matter where you ride. On the trails I ride, the mojority of machines are Polaris, with Honda coming in a close second.

I still think Honda is the best reguardless of sales figures and Polaris owners. I've spent many hours on Polaris Sportsman, their really nice, but I still prefer Honda. Just wish Honda would start putting 2wd/4wd switches on their quads. I don't care about independent rear suspension.

Xplor, you only missed one thing. Polaris had about 2000 more posts at the first part of the year. A few hundred more total topics. I watched that for some reason just to see, and it was amazing how much ground honda made up and then passed after the Rubicon "buzz" hit. For the last 2 years, Polaris dominated the total topics and posts here. Even in the old format. It basically just shows you were the interest lies at that point in time, and who is talking about what. I do think its neat to have a counter on here though.

Everybody needs to spend some of their energy writing your representatives and getting politically involved instead of constantly bashing each other's toys. I have a SP500, but I wouldn't mind a Honda as well. They all break and have there good and bad points. Just hope gore dosn't get elected or you will an electric golf cart and no where to ride

Hugh

You are right on the money there. If Gore gets elected, I guess I will have to join the Golf forum or something. Why is it that the only place this type of bickering goes on is in this forum? I rode last weekend with two yamahas, one honda, and three Polaris's. There was never a mention of who's is best. When my tire got punctured, I was grateful that the guy on the Honda had a plug kit and a pump. I was also glad that his machine came stock with an outlet, whereas mine did not (I am working on installing one). People need to stop worrying about whats wrong with other peoples quads and worry about no riding areas!!!!!

blah,blah,blah,blah.. when someone writes a post like this i wonder, did this guy just get humiliated by someone on another brand? what makes people write them,is it because there jelous? or is the fact they have nothing better to do? i say go out and ride whatever it is you own, even if its a moped for god sakes..who really cares? i know i dont..i bought my quad because it suited my needs better than anything else out there as well as i think its the best looking quad on the market, but thats my opinion..i ride with all types of brands not just polaris, hey ive pulled a yamaha home once and guess what that same yamaha has pulled me home once(my old magnum),but guess what not because of mechanical breakdown but the fact we sunk them beyond their capabilities..is one better than the other? give it a rest..i swear most of these posts have to do with envy or something, really grow up..this is worse than kindergarden

Polaris offers so many different types of quads. Thats the reason for increasing their sales, they have something for everyone. They didn't have a 5 speed quad so what to they do, last year they come out with the expedition. They even have 2 stroke utility quads. This year they are releasing 2 or 3 kids quads. The only area where they are weak is the sports quad area. I know the scrambler is supposed to be a sports quad but its not in the same class as a 400ex.

It would be nice if the manufacturers actually published the number of quads sold.

One thing for sure Honda & Polaris are the top two sellers. Yamaha is a distant third. Who is #4? maybe Kawasaki, then you have Arctic Cat & Suzuki pulling up the rear.

There is no one 'perfect' quad out there. Polaris has good points & bad points, but then so does Honda & every other manufacturer out there.

In a e-mail earlier this week I stated that our ATV club is about 50% Honda, & 10% Polaris. What does this mean, nothing. I am sure there are places in the country where these numbers are reversed.
