Default Rancher ES question

1) I have a 04 Rancher ES and noticed when I manually shift the trans with the wrench the LCD display will start flashing a 1, 2 or 3 depending on which gear I manually shift to. Is this normal? I noticed this tonight after the engine was hot about 20 minutes of idle time.

2) I am still having problems with the electric shift using the shift up or down buttons. When using the buttons the LCD display will flash 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 depending on which gear I shift to. Its seems only to occur after the engine is hot; after 20 minutes of idle or after the electric fan kicks on. The digital speedometer works fine. I suppose I will take it in to the dealer for the second time. My first dealer visit resulted in no problem found!

Thanks,
45ACP

Have you looked at your angle sensor?

Default Rancher ES question

When you use the wrench for shifting, itll cut out the button shifting until you cycle the key to off and back to on. Thats normal.
Hows the oil level? How long since the oil was changed? How long since the clutch was adjusted?
When the number starts to flash...if you turn the key off, wait 5 secs, and then key back on...does it still flash?

Default Rancher ES question

It only took two trips to the dealer to solve this problem. The problem was caused by a defective angle sensor. Thats what the dealer replaced.
