tire selection?
#1
I have a 04 Honda rancher 400 A/T. I want to upgrade the stock tires. I want to go with a 25 inch tire instead of stock size 24 inch. I ride trails and some light mudding. My question is does any one have a rancher like mine? And what tire did you go with. And what is your opinion on that tire?

got a rancher 02 model. upgraded to dirtdevils one inch taller and one inch wider. love them. got an 04 foreman. got the mudlites on it 26inch. love them too. they are so close to being the same tire. both are 6ply, very similar treads and performance. either are great choices!

Hi I have 25" mudlites on my foreman and I am really happy with them so far. I think most of the popular all around 6 ply tires ( bearclaws , dirt devils , Mudlites ect ) will do fine. I went with the Mudlites because they are a little lighter and were the cheapest of the three . I ride mostly trails and did not want the extra tread depth of the 26" + so I went 25" . I noticed a improvement over the stockers....especially when plowing. I have not had any traction problems in mud and the handel nice on the faster hard pack trails.
