Well, i dont want a quad that is all messing up and breaking down all the time, thats why i hate 2-strokes. jmo. but all i really want is a fast quad that has top end speed but still is pretty quick. I know that this is the honda area of the forum, but what do u guys think, TRX450R or the new YFZ450 from yamaha? i am a honda fan but if there is a better quad-bike-car, whatever i want to get the best thing (for the money...lol) but if i end up getting a quad it would probably be this next summer. I also heard about a honda 650???whats that all bout?

The YFZ is great for track and was mostly design for mx, its quick as hell, and also fast, I won't say that ill beat the honda because I don't want people talking smack. Though the YFZ is good in the dunes and other places, the suspension is kinda harsh at slow speeds, and is also reliable as honda. If you give proper maintanence to a quad it will last you along time. These are both great quads and a arguable match.

About the honda 650, that may be BS, don't really know, honda hasn't said anything, so for know there wont be no 650. Though I have seen pro's riding quads built that have the 650 engine, and used it for competitions. So for know, don't get your hopes up for the rumor.

I have heard a ton bout both 4-wheelers. although i am kinda woried about the rev limit...wont that where out the engine quicker? idk....i just figure the higher the rev the sooner u need to rebuild the top end. and how often do u usually have to change the oil?

I suggest if you do buy a quad to leave the rev limiter how it comes, the revs are high enough for stock. As for me changing oil it's 15 hours or less, I know theres guys that change them earlier like every ride, but thats not me.

ok, u must have misinterperted me. i meant with the r and the yfz, it has a higher rev limit so wont that wear the engine down faster? making it easier to mess the quad up?

Yes I did misinterperted you, and no It wont wear you motr faster, unless you do some extreme racing. I haven't seen one of the new 450's have there engine blown or anything. This is because they are both reliable and they were both made for high reving for the track, so no it wont mess up, thats pretending you change the oil reguraly* clean the air filter etc.

ok, yeah, that is what i hoped, if i do end up gettin a quad i dont want it to be in the shop all the time. What would you say the top speed on either the r or the yfz 450?

They both top out I'll would guess from 70-75, but that could be change easily with a change of a $15 sprocket
