05 TRX 400EX

Default 05 TRX 400EX

How quick is the 05 TRX 400EX all i ever hear about is the trx 450? and with the 05 TRX 400EX how reliable is it. I am kinda iffy on getting a 450 cause of what i have heard about the top end being rebuilt and to tell you the truth i want a atv that is fast and reliable the 450 is fast but i am not sure how reliable, i think the 400ex is reliable but not that fast????help!

i think the 05 400's have closer gear-ratios. 450's are reliable as any other honda. only downside is they're geared a tad bit too high for really tight and slow trails, and expensive as hell

The EX is kinda quick, but compared to the R, it's not. The EX is bulletproof, and I don't thought the R is either because it's Honda. The R is quicker maybe because of the new technology and a bigger diplacent and lighter. Also because it's mostly set up for mx. So tell us were you ride and will help you out.

Well i live on a ranch, with alot of gravel roads. I would be driving it alot in open fields along with gravel roads, maybe jumpin some little hills or that kinda stuff. but it wont be real slow traveling.

Just get the R, it's quicker, faster, IMP handles better, lighter, reliable and is one of the newest quads around. Also with just a slip-on it will make the performance better.
