I ALSO HAVE THE BURGARDS +2 ARMS, THEY WERE PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST INVESTMENTS MADE ALONG WITH THE TRIPLE RATE WORKS SHOCKS. ALSO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A AXLE I'M RUNNING +4 AXCALIBER ON THE REAR LIFE TIME WARRENTY. THIS AXLE IS TOUGH, ITS HANDLE MANY ONE WHEEL LANDINGS. THE STANCE ALONE MAKES THE MACHINE LOOK LIKE ONE NOT TO BE RECONED WITH. ULTRACROSS SHOCK IN THE REAR, WB E-SERIES FULL SYSTEM, JETTED, DG NERFS, 18" TURFS, MAIER RACING PLASTIC, FULL SKID, MOTION PRO TWIST, DG BUMPER, TOGGLE SWITCH, WB HIGH FLOW AIR FILTER. GET THE BURGARDS THEY ARE WELL WORTH THE 500 BUCKS. HOPE THIS HELPS

That's about the same set-up I was going for. I was planning on Works Triple Rate fronts, and a Lonestar Axcalibar axle. First, I'm going to purchase the Burgard's A-arm kit. I'm glad to hear all of these good comments on the Burgards. Do you have any pictures on your quad? I'd like to see what the Axcalibar axle and Burgards A-arms look like on a 400EX. Thanks.

My friend had a very bad experience with Burgard's. He ordered A-arms and black anodized ITP race wheels from them. Two months went by and he hadn't heard from them. He called them and they said they had already been shipped. Another week goes by, still nothing. He calls again, tells them he hasn't received his order, asks for a tracking number and they can't give him one. They were just jacking him around. He immediately canceled his order and ordered his stuff from Houser. Legacy ATV is pushing Houser really hard. They say that Houser has the best designed fit and finish. They prefer it over Lone Star. Plus John Houser, besides being a Mechanical Engineer, is the nicest guy you'll ever do business with in the ATV industry. As you might guess, I have all his products and swear by the man.

Do you have pictures of the Burgard or Houser a-arms on a 400EX?

Not out east, They are great in the sand and fine if you race on large outdoor MX tracks. However, tight MX tracks and stadium tracks are hard on the +3's. They push too much in corners and even steering stabilizers have a hard time keeping the bars in your hands on rough tracks. Camber adjustment becomes extra critical. If you are a trail rider, forget it. Pushing 50" through the trees is not for the faint of heart. Why do you think GNCC Pro's run stock width or +1's on their woods machines.

I ride on a 1.1 mile long MX track, and out on open trails. Rarely do I ride in the woods anymore.
What a-arms dimensions do you suggest? What about a steering stabilizer? Would Works Triple rates work well? I'm on a budget, so keep it on the cheaper side please. Thanks a lot.

I have a 426EX that Izzy Burgard and Tom Carlson helped me build directly and indirectly. As far as A-arms go, the +2 Burgard Arms are Great. I paired them with Works triple rates W/Adj Compression and Rebound. I have launched my quad so high and far that I would have surely wrecked with factory suspension and A-Arms several times. I ordered my Arms with Grease Fittings, but you have to grind away the over hang on your frame to use them. Izzy Burgard actually built my +1 Swingarm also, which I love. Everything is powder coated Glossy Black. Burgards is only 30 minutes away and he was nice enough to assemble my bike when I bought everything from him. He is a good guy, but don't be in a hurry if you buy from him directly. His A-Arms are very popular and it takes a while to get them if they aren't already made. I will send you pics of my bike with setup if you would like.
