Default Battery charger?

I am new to this quad stuff. I just bought an 04 EX400 and was wondering what kind of battery charger I should buy? Another question, how often should I charge the battery? Thanks for your help

A charging system is built into the quad. Just keep the fluids in the battery up and it should last you 2-3 maybe 4 years. If you let it sit for long periods then consider a solar charger(if near a window or opening) or something like a 1 amp trickle charger. About $20.

You may want to look into a Battery Tender Jr. It is a "safe" charger in that it knows when to float when the battery reaches its peak charge.

I have Battery Tenders on both of my Harleys. They are great. I leave then hooked up 24/7. You never have to worry about being ready to ride and finding that you have a dead battery. Here's their website: http://www.batterytender.com/
