Default 400ex question

he is right, thats prolly my only gripe in the trails, if you have to pick it up around, its so nice on my friends warrior to just be able to turn around, or for the sake of conveance, be able to back it in my shed, so i can pull out foward.

05 400ex? why would you want it to look like something that its not, thats like putting banshee plastics on a blaster. imho the old "bug eyes" look better then the grinch bubble frount.

Default 400ex question

Reverse?!? In certain circumstances, people want it. The Euro market loves reverse so they can parallel park their street legal quads. I guess for the dirt it would be nice - I'm not sure the weight increase is worth it though. For dune riders, reverse is only good in the parking lot, and borders on the edge of absolute uselessness on the dunes. I've seen my share of Raptors, on the dunes, with sand paddles that get themselves into more trouble with reverse. Paddles only go one way; when you flip it in reverse, you burry yourself! Then you have to get off and pull the quad out of the hole you dug. Which is more work than it was in the first place.

I also have to say that the 400EX is very light compared to the DS. Im a big boy, and have big guns for arms, but the DS always takes a lot of work to pull out if you get high centered on the dunes. The EX, comparitivly, is light, and no problem lifting it up and out of any situation.

So, I think it depends on the application and if reverse actually works. For the dunes, it sucks.

Default 400ex question

hes right, my buddies ds is a pain in the ol butt to tote around, when his axle bearing locked up, it was even worse toteing it by the frount wheels only, reverse on a quad of that caliber should be standard.

is the whole bottom end of the new 05 400ex different? or is it just a module?
