i think youll like the 250 ex alot, irts very similar to my recon, i have no regrets, DUDE- go to a dealer and buy a quad. come on...................you know u want 2.

 

Yeah i read the reveiw on the z-250 too...but ive also ridin' the z-250 and it is a nice attempt and it does have many good traits...the 250ex is far better...plus its a honda!!!

 

i am gonna buy 2 new quads. A small sport (z250 or 250ex) and a mid size ute. (still not sure)

 

The 250EX is not a Recon! The cranks are different, the gear ratio in the transmission (all five gears) are different and the front brakes. They are two very different quads. Check the price of the factory parts like fenders steering stems. Between the Honda and the Suzuki the Honda is cheaper to fix when you wreck it and you will every one does.

 

not everyone does...i have been riding for 6 years and knock on wood i havnt wrecked...Ive been close to...but not ove rthe edge

 

Is there an explanation for the different gearing? The recon is a sport/utility bike while the 250ex is a sport bike. Since the Recon has utilitity features, it requires more torque for the jobs it might do. With that in mind, the gearing is lower so torque is more easily accessible through the powerband. Also, the Recon is heavier than the 250ex.

 

the z250 is so much better than a 250ex. i have one and its is all around better

 

really in what ways is it better???suspension power???id like to hear some input from another perspective

 

The best opinion would probably come from somebody who owns both.

 

yeah thats why i wanted a nother opinion because i rode both for a month each and i still liked the EX better....but imwoundering about other people....
