Default Tire question

Anybody tried or have a recommendation for front tire size for a 450r? I ride in the desert most of the time and was wondering what the best size and brand would be. I'm most likely gonna get the ITP T9 Pro Series wheels, 10x5 w/2+3 offset(stock is 3+2) for a little more width, and was thinking Holeshot XC's. Stock is 22-7-10. Should I stay with the stock size, go bigger, smaller. What do you guys think?

this may sound weird, but, i've heard from a few different guys that running your stock front tires in the dunes is the best....

Default Tire question

Over the years, I have tried many tires for desert, but I keep coming back to the Holeshot XC's! I recently tried XCT's (which are supposed to be the hot setup for desert racing), the extra clearance is nice, but I found that they make the bike feel tall, tippy, and sluggish. I wouldn't run them unless you are going to go at least +4 on the front end.

I run ITP Baja rims on the 450, and T-9's on my other bikes. The offset makes the bike +2 in front and +3 in back. Bike is real stable at high speed!

Recon, did you stay with the stock size?
Where do you ride in the desert? I mainly ride Teagle wash( off Trona Rd), CA City, and Dove Springs.
