Default 400ex and 450r slip on.. how close are they to fitting each other?

This guy told me he has a R4 pipe that was for a 400ex then the mounting bracket was moved forward to fit a 450r. He told me to fit the 400ex again the mounting bracket would have to be moved back. Can somebody with a 450r and 400ex tell me how close there pipes fit. Also i'm not sure what he means by the mounting bracket. I hope he doesn't mean cut and weld the bracket on the can. thanks.

It was late last night and I was about to go to bed and I read the discription wrong and there was a few minutes left and I won it for 56 dollars. Then I reread it and realized it wouldn't fit a 400ex. He told me that the top bracket would have to be moved back. FUUCK that. I want to just pay him the fee he owes for ebay and let him try and sell it again.
