Default Extended Warranty

I'm contemplating buying an 04 Foreman ES. I've only heard good things about Honda and how trouble free they are. Do I need the extended warranty?

Not unless your dealer is better than mine..Mine couldnt even repair a bad cv boot on mine without it fallling back off again. On top of that it took them 8 days to attempt it. The clamp fell off again in another 10 hours of riding, I went to an auto parts store and bought another cv strap and put it on myself in about 15 minutes, and its been fine ever since. Dont waste your money on the extended warranty, the Foreman is a great machine. Use that extra money for the accessories you want.

You are gonna love the Foreman. Mine is a manual shift, I kinda wish I had of gotten the es. Sometimes its inconveinent to shift gears manually when you are in the middle of a hill climb or mud hole. I am sure the press of a button would be better. If you do buy the Foreman and get a bigfoot kit as I did, I would like to make a recomendation. I had the ITP wheels and the 589m/s tires installed on mine..IT was a handful to ride at any kind of speed even in 2wd. The tires will grab roots or rocks or anything that is sticking out on the side of the trails and yank the handle bar out of your hands, and usually flip you over. I sold the tires and wheels and bought a new bigfoot kit with the same ITP wheels , but this time I got the Mudlite tires. Same size again, 26inch, and its like a whole different machine. It feels like power steering now or like my old rancher 2wd..The tires do great in the mud, ruts, slick leaves on hills or anything I have encountered. I definately would say stay away from the 589m/s unless you are gonna be in swamps and mud only. My best friend bought a new rubicon a few weeks back. He got the bigfoot kit with the 589s even after I warned him. Now a few weeks later he hates them and wishes he had listened. I can go through places and mudholes that he gets stuck in. Slick trees laying on the ground or roots from trees will stick him. The Mudlites grip and go right over. I hope you get the Foreman and love it as much as I have loved mine. I started out hating it, but after the tire change, I am one happy camper.
