paddle tires in snow?

I'm assuming you're not intending to plow with paddles! Having said that, if you are, I would not use paddle tires. They won't give you the desired traction necessary to push a plow. In addition to needing traction "against" the snow, you also need whatever traction is available with the surface, and paddles won't provide that. You need more of a contact patch than can be provided with paddles.
If you're sport riding through the snow, paddles sound as though they'd be fun, but I wouldn't count on them for serious manueverability. Forward motion won't be problematic providing you're not on hard packed snow, but you'll have difficulties with understeer and rear end sliding.

im not usin it for a plow, thats y we got the 42 hp diesel tractor for[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] our driveway is way too big for jus an atv, i was wonderin jus for playin around in a 5 acre field, sometimes we get like 2 or 3 foot of dry powdery snow that regular tires jus dont work in. thats y i was wonderin if paddles might make it through

Oh YEA. I have SKat TRak Edges and I just used them the other day in about 1 foot of snow. It ripped. My buddy's had a 250R with Haulers and Banshee with Gecko's. They got stuck, but I did not. Maybe cause of the 4 stroke. But it was fun. Little hard for steering, but it worked. My front end was barely touching it was a blast.
