Default Is the 450R??????

The big difference that I notice is that if your not going really fast the banshee is ******* out and the 450r is on tap all the time. Also if your not in that sweet spot in the powerband your not going anywhere.

If your picking between the "(2)" and based on the type of riding you do, I'd get the 450R. I also would consider the YFX450 as well. Both are 450's are nice handling ATV's with more power than the 400EX & Z400. The Banshee is really best suited for the Dunes. I have the Banshee and the YFZ and love them both. The Banshee is "much more" of a workout to ride then the YFZ.

I own a 450r and the only thing that comes close to it is the yfz450. The day I got it I smoked my friends banshee in the trails and on the straight aways. In the straight away the banshee started about 30 yards ahead of me and I caught and passed it in no time at all.

I just bought the 450R for xmas, I love it so far. for the riding your talking about, you probably wont be happy if you spend the money on the banshee. As one of the other ppl said, stock, the 450 R is lacking on the slower trail rides, but thats why I joined here so I could get some info and tune on mine a bit. Overall, I love my 450R, the handling is awesome, and its just a great ride all around

Out of the 2 i would go with the 450r but if there was another option the yfz450 IS ALOT BETTER OUT OF THE 2 BY FAR!!! ive been racing a yfz for 2 yrs, and just tearing around at sand dunes racing other quads and ive raced plenty of banshees and 450r's bombardier ds's raptors other yfz z400's ive got beat once sence ive had my yfz and that was to a dune buggy with a 454 twin turbo (wasn't a compition for him).
ive ridin 450r's i think there geard WAY to tall better for trail riding.

yfz racer has some good input, as a 450R owner, I will say that the yfz is faster stock out of the box. This I knew when I got my 450R, but as for my riding style, I elected to get the 450R for versatility and then build it up a bit for a bit more speed.

Thats true ircope2 but we took my yfz stage 3 and a 450r stage 3 and had everything the same same weight of person same i took my gearing to mach the 450r same paddles same everything i put my stock cdi box back on , and i took him the 450r just doesn't have the throttle response and the top end that a yfz has i put my stock. A 450r stock just doesn't handle all that grate u get on the throttle it just feels loose. the motor is just laid back. In the other hand the yfz stock is not loose at at all it handles grate it rides like it wants you to open it up and just hit top speed. just tearing around stock on a 450r it doesn't whoop corners like a stock yfz ,450r's laid back motor hardly handles a whoop on a side of a sand dune it doesn't go half way up and curve with the gears so tall, like the yfz stock is geard just right for thes curves on the side of a dune.

Your not going to have much fun..putting around on a banshee. The shee will have your ***** to the wall everytime you poke the throttle. go for the four stroke.
