Cold starting a 400ex
Sorry for being a retart. I can't start my 400ex in the cold. It is in the single digits in Michigan now, and I can't get it fired. I have a new plug, full choke, half choke, etc. Any advice? Is there a cold weather plug that I should be running? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Boy I tried to start mine the other day and man I almost lost faith then she slowly came to life! What you might want to do is heat up your garage or um... some where amd let it sit for a while and warm up. Then if you get it started run it every week or less. If that dosent work try to pop start it. On mine I just had to turn it over a bunch because the gas hadent gotten to the carb yet from sitting for so long (thinking that I was going to ride my snowmobile ha no snow). I would try all of that first.

No sir, it won't even fire. I got a brand new plug in it. I am thinking of spraying some starter fluid down the airbox shoot or in the sparkplug hole. I got the charger on the battery for like the last four days, so I might get lucky tonight and am hoping I do as we are about to get a foot of powder. Thanks for your help.

Don't u guys even think about the animals? When it snows lots of poor animals die and get colds. Even sometimes fevers. That's why i have a barn with a heating system. I put any animals i can find in there. Including bears, cougars, bobcats, deer, elk, rabbits, birds, racoons, possums, and all others i can find. I'm very dissapointed in u guys for wanting it to snow for ur own pleasure while animals don't have a house that's warm to sleep in at night. I'm verry disgusted in u guys!! Selfish pigs!!!
