i heard the 400 is faster than the raptor in trails only but wanna make sure from all u honda people

if the trails are really tight,,,,you may as well save your money and get a 400

if you can open it up at all the raptor may be a little funner

Get the 400, the Rap is only worth the money if you like speed[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

How would you know, you don't own a raptor so you probaly don't have a clue that speed isn't the only thing the raptor provides. It has lots of torque, and it's hell of a ride if you enjoy your riding.

 

I own a 400ex as well as a 450r. I have several buddies with Raptors and have ridden most sport quads out there. If I was choosing between a 400ex and a Raptor...I would get the Raptor. It is much more fun...the torque is awesome! My question is why aren't you looking at the Honda 450r. This quad is ridiculous for the trails. MUCH MUCH more fun than both the 400 and the Rap. Sure you gotta give up the reverse and elec start but it is super light to turn around and the kick is extremely easy. I bought one and absolutely love it. No regrets...except I should have bought one sooner. Ride one...then make your decision.

 

Yeah, go for the 400EX. The Raptors are just too slow...................and if you can get them to go fast enough then they're too "TIPPY" [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

For slower real tight trails, the 400EX. If the trails are more open, the Z400 is a better choice (it's a 400EX with more engine). If they are wide open trails, the 450R.

I find the Raptor to be tall and tippy for my taste.

Well, I mean if you push them hard enough they'll speed up................at least till you pass them any ways. They are not that tippy unless the wind is blowing............[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
