424 select

Default 424 select

i just got a 424 select for christmas just wondering if their are any tricks to installing it or what kind of job it will be. I caint wait to have 2wd too altough i need for 4wd for plowing i plowed about 10 inch of snow the other day works great thanks

easy, if ur mechanically inclined, took about 2 hours, the big washers go on the drive shaft, not on the shift control, there are 2 different sizes, you'll know what im talking about when u do it

Consider making a mounting bracket for the cable and securing it with u-bolts to your front rack.

i will take pics of my rubi how i mounted the selector, it looks super trick, and factory, i get coments all the time, i thought rubicons were 4x4 only, but your install looks so good, i have seen those things and they look like cr@p.

On my rancher it was a little tough moving the front diff forward while compressing the drive shaft spring. An extra pair of hands would have solved this but I was working by myself.

On the cable your limited by the lenght of the cable so the options are limited somewhat. There are some pics of mine on the rahcher site below. A great product so far.
