The 300ex is essentially a bored (and maybe stroked, I dont recall) version of the 250x engine. So your "engine technology" is the same. The 300 will win based on displacement but not by much. You can easily work over a 250x to beat a 300ex.

But yes the 250X is a 300ex with reverse and a larger bore. Really not much different in drags.

Upon further research, its a stroke change and actually a detuned version of the 250x. Add electric start and viola.
I appreciate that he was trying to help moto, but if you dont have something positive and at least somewhat correct to post then you shouldnt be weighing in on the issue.
