Default 250R Suspension...

i have PEP shocks on front of mine and a Works Shock on the back, PEP shocks are awesome, but expensive too and Works Shocks are just normal aftermarket ones, but i seen a new kind they are Black Widows or something like that, Works makes them, and for an axle i seen Rocky Mountain has an axle called a G Force i think that is only 200 bucks, as for a arms, there is Janessen Racing or one of those little places that make +3s for only like 5-700 bucks, you'd have to check on it though cause i haven't looked for a while.

URCRAZY- will the 250R beat the 400EX lol

welp guys. . . if it comes down to spending more to have better stuff im willing to do so. but if there is stuff that is good that is worth it, i would buy that. i just dont want to feel i should have done something other. i want to do it right the first time. you guys dont know me... im hella picky and things have to be top notch or i just wont feel right. but we all know there is stuff that is good... that isnt all brand hype. thats all im getting at! So basically you want the best performing set-up, price doesn't matter you don't want to pay extra for a name. I think in your situation, PEP or Custom Axis are going to be you're best choice. I have never heard anyone complain about them. Works are less money, and lower quality but still alot better than 90% of stock shocks on a quad.

thats what ive been hearing. works are cool but not that cool.. so what about tcs? are those worth buying they are inbetween them both on pricing..... i think elka is overkill on pricing and works arent made the best but the tcs and pep look good? so what about arms, which arms should i go with, it looks like leagers and lonestar arent that bad for a +2+1 arm. or should i take a look at someone elses arms? I got +2, +1 up front and +2 in the rear, with Works shocks all around. I really don't think the Works shocks are that great either, although they are much better than stockers, I'd go with the Elkas. Good luck trying to stay under $1500, unless you go used or Ebay.

Well I think if you go with Lonestar a-arms you looking at a brand.. Dont get me wrong, they are nice arms, but the race or mx arms are adjustable in all ways, Now if that is what you want go for it. IF you want a basic +2 arms go with something a little cheaper.. My JD performance on the 400 ran 500 with shipping. They are +2. My nephew bought some American Star for 369. and they are +2. He also bought some Elka Triple rate with No Rez for 460. Later you can buy the rezy for them.. I liike the elka look, and the performance. If you get MX they have a lot of sag. I would just get the recreation shock. My PEPS are great on the 400, but the top of them that have the chrome look is rusting. My buddy has the Elka's and his has no sign of rust. And I wash my bike everytime I ride.
I am sure if you call Denton you can get what you want for about 1,500. Just tell them to give you a good deal, and get the best that you can.

Nichelsonracing87,--- My 250R smokes the 400. It is over.50 with 86 piston, spacerplate, and I think with a 89 jug. Not sure, the guy I bought it off, did not know much, he bought it and barely rode it. He bought it out of Missouri and had it shipped to Anchorage, Alaska. I called the Missouri shop he bought it from, and a guy there said it was one of Keith Little's bikes. ( Not sure if the guy was blowing smoke, SO I have been looking at all the ATV videos to check.)
The bike is Scary Fast.

Okay so that whole $1500 thing is a joke...that didnt happen.. LOL ...I wouldnt have been happy with the lower grade stuff. I decided to just do it right, with the top of the line stuff... Laeger Long Travel +2, 19" Quad Rate Elka Dune Edition Piggyback's with comp. adjust, Lonestar brakelines, and a +1 thru +4 RPM Dominator rear axle. Hopefully it was the right route??
