Hey guys im getting a 450r in the summer and want to know if these bars would be good. I wanna race eventually and are these good bars for racing or just good bars overall if i dont race lemm know what you guys think.

I've never heard anybody complain about them.

 

The Tag T2's are great bars, actually they are too good. Why I say that is they are very strong and in some cases that could be a bad thing. If you roll your quad, instead of the bars bending alot of times your steering stem bends which ends up costing more to replace. So what alot of people do is ride with a less strong set of bars such as Applied. If anything bends, they want the bars to bend and not the steering stem.

I have them on the 450R and the 400's. They are really nice bars! They are slightly lower than the stock position, which I like for cross-country riding, although it might be to low for MX or freestyle jumping.

The point about them being TO STRONG is well taken! I had a friend borrow my 400EX in the dunes. Sand is soft right? What could anybody hurt in the dunes? Well, he managed to roll it somehow, and the bars are just fine, but the steering stem got bent!

 

reconranger should i get the kit with the universal mounting hardware, and a bar pad it says it gives it a 3/4 rise is that high or just right. Also there a little pricey i think it goes from $134-205 that i have seen do you guys think sweet quads can get a discount on them or do they even carry them?

 

IMO BLING STAR FRONT BUMPER IS STUPID. YEAH LOOKS GOOG BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU NEED TO GRAB THE FRONT OF THE QUAD TO LIFT OR TURN IT ROUND? ITS STUPID UNLESS ITS ON A SHOW BIKE OR A RACE ONLY BIKE.

very true hippyhinter on both of you reply. And i think i am going ot race the quad so you never know i might end up getting it. I see a lot of racers using it. Also how much would it cost to fix the steering stem if it bent
