What should i do about the shocks??
#1
I have a 2002 300EX and I'am gettin 400EX a-arms b/c i dont wanna pay that much for any others. I'am on a budget. What should i do about the shocks, should i get works shocks for +2 arms, ive heard banshee shocks work but dont know, or should i get the mounting bracket and 400EX shocks. I race mx so i will be jumping and dont know how well the bracket and 400EX shocks will work. I know this has been posted like a million times but your help would be greatley appreciated. If anyone knows where i can get used +2 a-arms specifically made for the 300ex, please let me know.

I'll give you my advise and take it for whatever it is. A-arms for a 400 will fit it. With that being said, stock width for a 400 will be +2 for an 300. There fore, any place that sells the 400 ones sells the 300 ones also. If you can afford them, aftermarket shocks are the way to go. Set them up to match you and your riding style. If a budget is a concern, the brackets like the ones on e-bay, are built pretty good. They would probably work along with the stock style 400 shocks.
I have been trying to get a set of stock arms off a 400 to put on my sons 300. I was hoping to use the stock 300 shocks. My son is rather light for his height, and I believe the stock shocks would be fine till he fills out more, than I would probably get some aftermarket ones.
Good luck!!
