do you think it would be possible to put a locker on a recon??

 

Isnt the recon 2x4 only?
It has a locker, in the form of a solid axle in back, one side cant turn faster than the other.

 

I hope thats not what he meant. if it is he's not qualified to ride.....

I dont get it? All recons are 2x4 so how can they have one on the front diff? Or am I missing the joke?

yeah i mean can you convert it into a 4X4. I kno itll prolly cost alot but i was j/w if you could.

Well, there would probably be alot of problems to overcome. Biggest one would be the motor has got to go, and a motor off a 4x4 would need to be fit in somehow. The recon motor has no way of getting power forward, out the motor case, and to a shaft to drive a differential. In the long run, youd spend all kinds of money, which you would never recover, when you finally sell it.
Its much cheaper to sell what you have and get what you want.
To answer your question...ya its possible, but not practicle.
