You might be able to find some other place. Its pretty big, I know it will not fit under the seat.
You still have room for the winch controller and straps etc. in the tool compartment.

The review I saw on the Warn winch setup said that they mounted the solenoid inside the airbox. Surely there is a better spot. How about the rest of you with winches? Where did all of you mount yours?

I have both my solenoids in the box. I just slide the tool container in over them. The tools won't fit in their original orientation, but they fit in the box, still.

Is the winch mount from OS one solid piece. It looks like the winch is bolted to the plate, and the plate extends out through the small opening of the plastic nose piece for the fairlead to bolt on. Is that correct?

The winch mount is a 1 piece plate that the winch bolts on to.

Well, I just got my mount from OS. Geez! Haven't they heard of grinder to smooth out the edges? It looks like they cut it with a torch, and then painted it. Oh, it'll work. It's plenty heavy enough. I take it you have to drill your own holes for the fairlead. Is that what you guys had to do?
