Your oil change light can be re-set weather it is on or not. The counter will start at the reset point.
Diagnostic mode is entered into your up and down shift buttons, to make codes display on the meter.

To set your oil change light --- push and hold both large rectangular soft switches on your instrument panel. If the oil changge light was on, it will go off when reset. If it was not on and you wnat to reset it, do the same thing, the oil change indicator will flash on and go out when it is reset.
Diagnostic mode ------ With the ignition switch off and the ATV in neutral, depress and hold both up and downshift buttons, keep them depressed while turning on the ignition switch. Let off the shift switches, within a few seconds, depress both shift switches at the same time again and the " - - " lines should appear on the meter. the system will store 2 codes, so a few second delay between flashes, will be the beginning of the next stored code. To exit diagnostic mode, turn the ignition switch off.
