i've only got it up to 39 on our straight away but i don't try and go as fast as i can because 900 feet isn't enought to get up to speed, but let me know if any of you know what the top speed is.

Top speed depends on so many things. Up hill, down hill, flat road, dirt or pavement, wind behind you or in front, temp cold or hot, distance available. Then the rev limiter will kick in and hold you back.

I've gone 55 mph on the stock speedo going down a long hill. I had more than enough room to go faster but I could feel it being held back. Later I figured out that the stock speedo is high by a couple mph's. (gps) So the really high top speed is around 53 mph. The average top speed of mine is about 52/53 on the stock speedo. So the average top speed is probably about 50 mph considering that the stock speedo reads high.

I'm not sure if the ES models are different from the S.

Give yourself a good 1/2 mile going down hill and see what it says.

My Foreman 450s model would not do but 38 or so by the speedo on a flat paved road when I bought it..After the pipe and jet kit it would reach 48 or so on the same stretch of road. I modified the silencer insert in the HMF muffler last week by cutting most of the pipe off and leaving maybe an inch and of course the screen wire at the end.. Top speed increased to 52 on the same stretch of road.

It also helps to have the tires pumped to about 10 psi, and about 50 or a hair more sounds right.

Have you compared the stock speedo to a gps or even a car? Your 26's probably either throw it off more or maybe make it more accurate. Some say that that the larger tires make the stock Foreman speedo more accurate.

I was going to put 26" tires on my Foreman. Now I'm thinking about staying with the 25's.

I have GPS unit but havent checked my speed against it yet.. I have checked it against a new Rubicon, but it also has the bigfoot kit on it..I have 26inch and he has 27inch tires and yet our speedo's match at most speeds. I will check it out with the GPS. thanks
