Default Valve noise?

I just installed a new hotcam stage 1 in my 04 400ex today, and it went in eaiser then i had anticipated. With this type of cam is there going to be alot more valve noise? Also i got the came sprocket marks lined up just like my manual said to do, and it seems like the timming is not off. What would the bike be doing it if was out of time? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Default Valve noise?

I looked at the manual pics of where the cam sprocket should be with the 3 reference lines, one pointing up, and the other to even with the top of the head. But on the pic from the manual the reference line that points toward the back of the bike, is right on the head and the other one is just a hair above the head, so its not completely level with the head like the step by step instructions tell you to do. And when i rotated the motor to TDC and pulled the valve cover off my cam sprocket (before i even messed with the stock cam) was ligned up just like the pic in the manual. I am just worried that i might have got the motor out of time. Would i be able to tell if it was out of time. It seems to run fine, but there is ALOT of valve noise. Any help would be apperciated.
