Just a couple little hints extracted from Honda's website for all you that are just positive that Honda's not bringing out a new quad:

A chain, a shock and some a-arms? That means theres gonna be a new quad? Hmmm, I thought that the 300 and 400ex had these, guess not.

 

Where do you see a chain?

Why would these images be on their front page, next to the new model announcement - these were one of 3 animated gifs next to the announcement that roll very quickly, I ripped them and extracted the frames, this is what's in there.

Gif #1 is misc 4 stroke engine parts

Gif #2 seems to be streetbike parts, and maybe a TRX frame

Gif #3 is what you see on my page, TRX parts

I guess my point is: Why would they put quad parts in their new product announcement promotional gif's if they were only going to announce a new Goldwing and CBR600?

Make of it what you will. Close your eyes if you like....

 

I hate to say it but they look like pics of a 250x/300ex front end with square tubing but still hope your right.

 

I guess we'll see in about 9.5 hours...

Everywhere I look, 650EX rumors abound. Mostly on the dirtbike sites I frequent, where they have no interest in quads. They're all hoping for the new YZ426 killer, but have just about settled on the fact that although Honda is working on it, it's probably going to be another year (although this may be the "exciting news" Honda is hinting about on their website)....

In one particularly interesting post from California, a person claimed to have contact with an aftermarket company that works closely with Honda, what he was saying is a 650EX and a 4 stroke watercraft. I have also heard of a new Goldwing and CBR600RR....

I wonder if the square tubing is similar to the aluminum frame used on the XR650?

We'll see...

ok...if you noticed everytime you go to the honda motorcycle site it has different pics up top....a few are of quads....one is of a dirt bikes front forks and one is of a 4 cylinder street bike! that is unless it is a 4 cylinder 1100ex quad?lol wont know for 8 more hours now

 

Misc 4-stroke engine parts in teh 1st pic? Why dont you tell me what parts those are exactly. Sure looked like the sprocket on a rear axle the 1st time I looked, however it looks more like front or rear brake rotor.
If thats engine parts, I wanna know what they are.
I am not saying Honda wont have a 650 ex, cause I would love to see it, I just dont see it happening. We have had all these rumors on the web, however, havent seen one thing convincing enough that its going to happen.
I could come on here and say, I just talked to the president of Honda and he told me that they are gonna put the engine out of an NSX in a quad and someone out there would go belive it and tell everyone. You cant always belive the rumors you hear, no matter how promising they might be.

 

If you would like I could recite what the parts are, but if you really want to see them, get an animated gif editor and do it yourself. I did my part, I'm not concerned about the rest...

Have you even been to Honda's website? There are 3 animated gifs next to the announcement that were placed there when Honda put up their date. The pics on my site are ripped from the 3rd one.

You're awfully argumentive. Chill out. I just found it interesting that Honda has 3 animated gifs on their site that are as follows:

1) pics of 4 stroke engine parts (valves, springs, cam chain, etc) - hinting at new 4 stroke machines.

2) pics of what appears to be street bike parts (front brake rotor & fork, etc), there is a new CBR600RR and Goldwing that HAVE already been announced in Italy.

3) pics of quad parts. Hinting that there is a new quad in the works...

Awfully coincidental, isn't it...

Once again, we'll see....

The Raptor that I ordered came in today so I went to check it out. My "guy" was on the phone from Vegas so they put me on the phone with him. He told me that he had been joking around with the Honda reps about having taken deposits on 2 650ex's and 2 CR500 4 strokes.[ one of each for me and one of each for my buddie] He was teasing them how Honda can't keep a secret anymore. The Honda rep then said to him, "Better give them the money back on the quad or hold on to it till next spring". My take on this; who knows what the hell is going on.
