So how do you recon they cost the same? If you run a K&N on the inside, and put that on the outside then you have two filters. If you use the stock filter with that filter lid, then you still have two filters. Im still not understanding the point.

Unless you are saying that you dont need a K&N pre-filter (which are only about $15 bucks) - then the math still wouldnt work out.

 

Stock replacement K&N is what, $50? Doesn't fit all that well. Should purchase the billet adapter with K&N that fits it. What are those, $75 or more? + Outerware, $15= $90. One EHS lid + stock filter=$90. Pretty close to the same or is the same depending on which route you chose.

 

i got the complete kit cause when i wash it dont want water getting in. and its always nice to have a extra closed lid laying around. i use a K&n with outerwears and the ehs lid.

 

uni filter w/outerwears 19+14 =$33 let the inside of airbox get dirty! intake is clean thats all that matters ! i run k&ns in both vehicles,but never off-road ![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
