I;m upgrading from a 300ex to a 400ex and was wondering what type of differances there will be?

 

Power, size, handeling, comfort and speed. pretty much every where. Oh, they are both honda.

i agree with SickRider.....its nite & day. a week or 2 ago my buddys brother brought over his stock 400ex & i tried it out & i just couldnt beleive the difference. he still smoked me even with my pipe & filter(not a big surprise but hey wat can ya say...) if i could get that power outta my bike without goin into thye engine i sure would jump on that chance. jus my 2 cents.

 

300exridr67 all u need to do is buy a 350x motor and swap it in. this is what u will need

250x wiring harness
350x CDI
350x engine complete and running
Powroll 350x conversion kit

With all that ull keep up with or be faster than a 400ex no problem. And if u big bored that 350x engine to a 425 oh man i can only imagine how fast it would be. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

sweet. thats pretty much what ive been hearing. I cant wait wait to get on something with more power. The 300ex is fun as hell, it just doesnt have the get up i want.

 

Stock for stock, there is a big difference. However, a built 300 can hold its own against a stock 400.

 

How close would my 300 be to a stock 400 check out my page for mu mods!

 

not very close being your 300ex is basically stock, larger jets but dont know what size??? hows that possible oh man i hope you know what you were doing when you rejetted.

LOL I said I didn't know what size because I didn't do it. This is how I bought it ! The previous owner put all the parts on it!
