What the hell is that!
How can you even call it a sport quad when it has an automatic clutch. It also has a direct rear driveshaft and is not even near 250cc. At 229cc they should call it a 230EX but of course they want it to sound better so they say 250 because that is associated with the legendary 250R. They even designed the front end to look like a 250R. I hope this is just a hint that they haven’t forgotten the 250R and are working on a new one.

Now, Now... Maybe for what this thing is priced we can afford to make it as fast as a Rancher!!!!!Just kidding, I think it is a sport quad intended on getting youth a better chance to experience atving. However i really don't think Honda will or should sit to long with Yamaha,Bombardier, and Cannondale coming out swinging. However it is clear to me, if they come out with a new 500plus cc race quad it is going to have the following things on it: Fuel injection, Longer travel suspension, LIGHT, and lower seat height and stability than the other racers. Honda is playing the waiting game as normal. Not so sure however if they will come with a performer or flat out A## kicker. I hope it has both qualitites. I am getting sick of only winning drag racing with Honda Super Bikes.

By the way, if anyone has a superbike, The new F4i is the machine it appears. Look out Yamaha, Honda uses it's technology somewhere. To bad they are taking our atv dollars and investing it into bikes that can't outsale there flagship buisness, QUADS. This is getting OLD.

Honda has taken the enviormentally sound approach on the two stroke front. I totally agree with them, I don't think the Banshee has much more of a future, not because it's a bad quad mind you, just that the tree huggers are winning the battle.

But, I am disappointed with Honda's new release, as a sport quad.

Aggromoose,
That is very funny and sadly enough appropriate. By the way, what's the story behind your name? Is it suitable for public knowledge?

Honda's best selling motorcycle/quad is th TRX300 Foreman.

In 99, Kawasaki sold more Mojaves than anything else. Go figure.

The sad thing is that the recon has a tighter turning radius, lower seat hight, and more ground clearance. Oh well, It is probably a perfect quad for many people. Also Check out my post "An upside to the new 250ex. "
