Default 250ex or 300ex

Today me and my dad went looking at the 250 and 300. We got rid of our quads about 5 years ago and my dad thinks that the 300 will be too much for me. I am about 5' 9" and 130 lbs. so do you think that i would grow out of the 250 quickly? Also would you recommend the 250 for someone that is about 215 lbs. and 5' 11"????

The 250 will be too little for you more than the 300 will be too much. Sorry if that doesnt make much sense. All you have to know is go with the 300. Better handling, more power, real clutch and chain drive for better control and headroom for modification. All in all its not much of a comparison unless you need a good pit bike or slow trail machine.

I have the 250 for my first quad. Its a great machine,a dn fast enough to keep up with my kids. It mostly depends who you ridee with. If ride with people alot older, on better bikes, then go for the 300. But, I ride with families and kids, so the 250 is much more than I need. I'm 220 and 5'9",a nd it does great for me. Plus, it was a great deal versus the 300.

I think you will get more use out of the 300ex. And u can definatly upgrade it alot more than the 250ex.

i agree, the 250 ex has allright power but its the size of a youth quad and in my opinion its hitious. The 300ex has more power and with some different tires and new plastic can look great. But to tell you the truth im gunna be a 400ex jerk, and reccomend the 400ex because...its... cooler . And the 400ex has alot better low end, a nice used one can be bought for around 3 grand, and they are friggan rock solid.

Go with the 300EX. There are still tons of after market upgrades out there.
