dominator, you have no room to talk... you have not a 400ex nor a raptor.

The 400EX is $1000 less than the Raptor, I don't really consider that 'almost the same price'. I think if I had it to do over again, I'd still buy the 400ex, because it's air-cooled (less maintenance, less mess, less to go wrong), it already has more power than I need, and it's my favorite color (Honda Red!).
Oh, and because it's a lot less money too.

For $798 us dollars more then a 400ex, you can get a yamaha raptor with reverse and almost 20 more horsepower. Adleast the raptor is competitive against the 15 year old sport quads.

I was looking at the first post in this topic. I guess he really believes 90% of people in this forum are not intelligent....yeah, were all dumb. Thanks, you must truely be awesome. I believe 90% of the forum was upset that honda wont release anything competitive...and thats not because everyones dumb.

Is it so wrong to be american and want the biggest and baddest. Burger King has the double whopper. Wendys has the big bacon classic triple.
Wouldent you be dissapointed if all mcdonalds had was the $.79 cheesburger. The point being
with the battle of the big bore we were hoping honda would step up.. not down. Nothing new for us that are old enough. drifting back to 1990 waiting for the 500r. Its the 250x all over again.

It would have been ok in my book that they came out with the 250ex just as long as they also had a 650ex for us to. The 400ex is good for me because i graduated from a blaster to the 400. But Honda has not really made the die-hards give up their old 250r's. Yamaha has with the Raptor, good. I just hope the sport quad market really means something to them, maybe it will when nobody is buying 400's anymore.

Okay, your wrong there buddy. It's a 1000 bucks more. Which, you can add a few mods for a grand, and be right with the Raptor, and still have that precious "wing" under you. I'm sorry, Honda is the most reliable quad. You don't think a 400ex will keep up with 15 year old quads? I stay right with my buddy on his 250r. And my quad is alot less maintence. Yes, it doesn't have the bang of a two stroke, but i don't have to worry about overheating it, mixing oil and the best thing about the 400ex.... I can rip around with the guys or put with the wife. try that on your 500. I know, i had one for 2 weeks and sold it. Its a great quad, but i don't like to carry plugs with me and i don't ride wide open all the time.
And i'll be the first to say i was dissapointed when Honda didn't come out with a new quad. But, I'm still going to stay loyal to The Red Team. It wont be long. And just to say, how many pics of the new 250ex did you see in magazines? None! I was seeing pics of a new Yamadog 3 months before it was released. Honda is good at keeping a secret, don't worry a bigger bore Sporttrax will come....

You guys are comparing MSRP's. That is unrealistic. The Raptor is $6495 and that is what you are gonna pay. Regardless of what the 400ex lists for you can buy them throughout the midwest at $4895. So $1600 is the REAL difference in price for now.
