yea in my state its required but only at major places like where mx events are held.(normal riders dont really need it)

 

Hello nascar. I also live in Michigan. I have titles for both of my quads bought new. You have to have a title. If you got the quad new from a dealer, you will get a title in the mail a few weeks after you bought it. If you bought it used from another state that does not give titles, then I believe you can take the bill of sale or certificate of origin to a Secretary of State and apply for a title. If the quad was issued a title, you need to get the signed title from the owner when you pay for the quad.

did you take out a loan for the bike?maybe the bank has the title and when you pay it off they will release the title.i just bought a banshee and the guy owed some money on it but after he payed of the balance the bank released the title to him.

 

Hello BURKEDADDY. In Michigan, you always get the title, but there is a Secured party section that must be signed by the bank before you can transfer the title.

anyone know about the laws of getting a title in new york? i have a 88 trx250x. how can i get a title for it. i have no contact with the previous owner and cant get in contact with him, the bike was never registered? any help, thanks
