Default Full HMF Exhaust

From what i am hearing from everyone is that I should get the full HMF but at the same time I dont want my uptight neighbors to get all bent of of shape from being too loud. THe stock 400ex pipe is really quiet, will the HMF be too loud? what should I do is it that good?

i have heard that it is loud but i think you can put a quiet core in it. it will never be as quiet as stock.

Hmf offers a silencer core that slides into the end of the pipe. I have one in mine. It has a screen coned wire in the very end of the muffler. It does take away from the performance some, but I modified mine to get the best of both worlds. The silencer is a pipe approximately 1 inch in diameter and about 5 inches long with screen wire in the outside end. I cut the pipe off to about 1.5 inches on mine and of course left the screen wire like it was. I can still feel an improvement in power and the noise isnt much louder than stock.
