Rubicon skid plate & slid plate plow bracket questions.

Rubicon skid plate & slid plate plow bracket quesitons.
I have a Moose Utility plow bracket under my '05 Rubicon. Mounting of the Moose bracket requires removal of the stock skid plate. The stock skid plate is/was only plastic but at least it was something. With the Moose bracket underneath, the aft half of what used to be covered is now exposed. That's where the aluminum cases transmission is!
Does anyone have experience with a partial skid plate to cover the area that the plow bracket does not protect?
Failing choice A above, I will have to take the plow bracket on and off with the seasons. If I do that I want something that is better than stock (not asking much there) and also something that will make oil and fiilter changes less of a hassle. What do you guys think of the High Lifter skid plate?

i put the cycle country bracket on mine and it replaces the front skid plate and the rear one stays in the same place.
and the one i got has a hole cut out for the filter and drain plug so i dont have to remove it to change my oil.
and i realy like that.
sorry yours dont fit that way.
is your plow a moose plow also.
if so maybe see if the one i have will fit and then you can keep your stock one on the back.

Mudblaster, thanks for the quick reply.
Maybe I explained it in a confusing way. The plow bracket required that I take off the entire front skid-plate, but the plow bracket only covers the front half of what used to be covered by the entire front skidplate. In other words, the skidplate that covered the bottom of the engine and transmission is off and the plow bracket only covers the front half of what used to be covered.

ya i understand.
i was just saying mine covers the whole front just like the skidplate did befor i removed it.
it replaces the front one but you still need the rear to cover the rear.
maybe you can get a different type of mounting brackets for your plow.

Roger that, I would love to figure out a way to just mount a skidplate somehow over the plow bracket and maybe just remove it when I plow. Once I get it up in the air and toake a good look at it I'm sure I'll figure something out.
I am somewhat surprises however that Moose and other plow companies haven;t firgured something out and offered it for sale.
