Default Rubicon tire size

I just bought a 2005 Rubicon last week & I love it. Good ride & power. Does anyone know what the biggest tire size is that I can run on this thing? I have already installed a lift kit & 1 1/2" wheel spacers. I would really like to run some 28" Mudzillas like the ones I have on my 2002 Foreman.

In order to run tires that big I believe you will have to get a Highlifter Fender Kit. Their website explains how big you can go with their kit.

The lift kit did not affect the ride any. The kit is on ebay, it's made from stainless steel. Real easy to install.

Here's the link.....

do you have to buy taller tires to raise the axles higher off the ground or does the kit do that for you. the rear axle is the one im concerned about because it is straight and im running stock itp mudlight tires 25x8-12 25x10-12. will it be worth it

Only taller tires will give you more clearance on the rear axle. The lift kit raises the body & frme & gives you more clearance in the front.

i have 28" mudzillas on my 700p and there a huge tire.
my buddy has 27" mud lites on his rubicon and they fit just fine but my zillas are still a bit bigger.
if you go with the 28s i think you will loose to much power.
my rubicon will beet my buds every time and mud lites are 26s.
and his also boggs in the mud somtimes.
where as mine dont unless i go into it in auto shift and it changes gear then boggs.
but most times i go into it in low manual 1st or 2nd and its good.
i think 28s are to big for the rubicon.
but 26" zillas would be sweet .
i never had mudzillas or seen them other then a in a picture untill i got my prarie and man o man there a sweet tire.
i dont think i will go with anything else now that i have had these.

once you go zilla the rest wont thrilla.

PS. my perfex 1 1/2" lift kit took me 45 minuts the first time i put it in mine.
then i put one in each of my buddys 2 rubicons and it took me 30 minuts each time to do his.
but i have air wrenches.
and it gets easer each time you do it.
(kinda sounds like riding a bike or somthing)
lol
and oh ya congrats on the new rubicon.
ken.
