400ex project

Default 400ex project

how hard is it to change the stock axle to a plus 4 dura blue axle and the a-arms

If you cant change your oil its too hard.

Really I would say 7.5 on a 10 scale.

changing an axle and a arms are a no brainer. Just remember the nut and lock nut on the axle are reverse threads. Also when u get plus size a arms u need to get plus size front brake lines as well. Best thing to do is get a clymer manual and look at a schematic diagram online. Its not that hard. jsut take ur time and learn.

yeap you covered it all that i can think of

and remember about the reverse threads, so you don't think you're trying to loosen it and it's actually tightening, and end up taking it to a rip off dealership to a halfa** mechanic and pay him 50 bucks to tell you that they are left handed threads(reverse threads)

ive already had everything ordered: a-arms, axle, and brake lines. I think im gonna let the dealer put the axle on and ill tackle the front end

Buy a manual cause your gonna need it anyhow, and when you consider what you will save from not letting the dealer do the axle (pretty easy actually) you can think of it as getting paid to buy a manual.
