a recon has a 229cc engine so you only got 9cc more

 

Are you serious!!!?Grrrr.....And my mom was talkin bout how much more a Rancher costs than a Recon and its only $300 more than my sisters Recon ES.

 

personally i think the 250ex stinks there slow!!! and done have alot of power there kids bikes if i was in your sutuation i would gt a 300ex there a better bike you still have the reliability and its faster also it responds to mods good after a year you will get tired of the ex and start modding it but i will never staisfy you my buddy has one the handling is good and i like it for tight trails but the 300ex does just as good in my oppinion!! and i dont think its cost to much more. another think about the 250ex i dont like is it sitts really high compared to other 250's i just dont like them but dont take my advise just get the one you want

 

To 04trx250ex i hit speeds higher than that on trails all the time!!! im in meduim 4th when im running a trail also the +3in A-arms help alot also the +4 dura blue axle also helps out so oh well

oh and the 250ex wont do 54 miles per hour i know my friend has one!! well stock that is! i dont think it will with your mods either

 

i think a polaris would be better, something like a phoenix or if he/she is advanced maybe a 500 predator, ohh by the way honda needs to catch up, there lagging behind badly, i was diehard honda untill i road a 700 sportsman then i traded my honda for a 800 sp, i love it

 

no dont get a trx250 ex get a yamaha blaster there not only better and faster but they dont coast as much eaither

Don't get a 250ex, get something with a clutch, it's much more fun then, and the 250ex is to small, I got my 400ex when I was 13, and now I am 14. TRUST ME, you will get bored with a 250 ex pretty fast, because I owned a quadsport 250, and i grew out of it in 6months, then I wanted more speed!

 

My mom made me get a Recon(they already said i couldn't get a sport ATV).My dad might've let me get a Rancher but my mom said it was too much and its only $300 more than my sis's Recon ES.
