What is the max speed of the 250ex?

there is no way a 250ex is going 60mph maybe 50 at the most probably 45

 

My Recon had a top speed of 47 mph. The 250ex would be a little faster with the same motor. I'd say around 50/52 mph.

 

It's around 52. I have an 04 and the only way it wil hit 60 is if you are going down hill with a gail force wind pushing you. Don't get me wrong, it's a great little bike. Bulletproof and low maintenence. Can't go wrong with it but the simple fact is that it is shaft driven and was not meant to be a speed machine. It sure is nice in the tight woodsy areas though.

 

i remember my dealer told me, when back in the day i was looking at my first bike, they told me the recon would do 40- and ya wonder why i dont go there anymore(among other things)

I think my 01 250ex goes about 50-55mph because i can leave my brothers recon in the dust. Also me and my brother took a truck beside it and it goes about 50-55. I can also beat my other brothers 350es. According to the speedometer, the max speed of the 350es was 76kmh.

 

I have a GPS on mine, and it does 43.5 on flat dirt. 220 lb rider, bone stock.
