hey i have a recon and i ride some mud and dirt trails and i was wondering whats the best tire im planning on getting something like 24's cause i need the ground clearence for rock trails. Also what type of rims should i get, im only looking rears for now.

I like the stock Goodyear tires. They seemed to work and wear well. Just buy a cheap Maire skid for the bottom and you'll skid over everything. (trees, rocks, snow)

 

i have a skid plate but i still get stuck on everything... i like the stock tires but it's time to replace em for the second time and i was looking for something more aggresive.... i was lookin in to GBC dirt devils but i dont know yet. Does any one have them and like them or diss like em?

put a set of itp sold al t-9 set on my wifes recon, went up in size couple inches, it made finding tires for the recon much much easier!!!! and the looks of it with solid al rims and bigger tires is just crazy. it cost around 300 bucks if I remember for the whole set of dirt devils and rims package. they even came mounted on rims and aired up. However make sure you also order the lug nuts that go with the rims you order because stock one will not work, Lesson learnt on my part no since of you going through the same thing.

I put a set of maxxis All Track on my wifes from Rocky Mountain and they are excellent in the mud because they are not directional tires.

 

mudlites would be the tire of choice. and some itp rims.
