Default Need help with `94 TRX 300 2x4

Hello,
A while back I bought a 94 TRX 300 2x4 that will be for my wife & daughter. I am the third owner, I bought it from a friend. The original owner was an elderly man who bought it for hunting because he had trouble walking. Well, its in great mechanical shape from what I can see, but he painted it camo. My friend stripped most of the paint off when he got it, but I would like to make it look like it was when new. Does anyone have pictures of the original? Its green, what color are the wheels supposed to be? Can you still get tank decals for this machine? Are there repair manuals available (want some maint. guidelines) ? Like I said, it runs good, just looks like hell. Can you buy the right color paint for the tank? Anyone know how to remove paint from the engine, or should I just spray a little paint over what he put on there? I dont think he sanded anything before he sprayed on his diff. colors so it may come off easier. Thanks,
Craig

a local dealer should be able to order you a service manual. i would get the clymer manual instead of the honda one because it is much cheaper. also, the wheels are a silver/gray color. that bike was a dark green color.

Go to www.bikebandit.com you can order any oem part there (oem original equipment manurfactuer) for you four wheeler i have the same wheeler you do same yr as well but to get paint for your gas tank you will need to order that from the dealer. the nice thing about ordering on line is that the parts are mailed right to you door and you don't have to go pick hem up at the dealer. iv orderd off there plenty of time and have been pleased with them.

Thanks guys, this is a great site! Can a body shop help me out with the paint? The tank is the only metal part to be painted, they should be able to come pretty close, no? I need to touch up some spots on the engine, right side if you were sitting on it, the case needs to be repainted. Any suggestions as to what paint will come close? Im talking spray cans here, just want to make it look presentable. Is the motor the same silver/gray as the wheels?
Thanks again,
Craig

The closest paint match I have found for the wheels is called "argent silver" or just "argent"
Mopar had the color available in a rattle can, that matched the origional wheel color perfect. I don't know if they market it anymore.

Body shop should be able to do something as far as the paint. The wheeler should have had a decal on the frame under the seat that has the color code on it, if not a quick call to the local Honda dealer parts dept will answer your paint code question as there should be a color table for the unit that thay can access.
