I've had highspeed cable for 4yrs there is no better way to injoy everything the internet has to offer. My boys look up things for school so fast that they do homework without bitchen because it only takes a little time . I look up and order car parts , quad parts , ect. because it is so fast and easy. When we had dial up we hardly ever went online it just was not worth the wait now someone is always online doing something . Have to go now, boys have my machine running and the toboggan hooked up and are ready to go have some fun (-10degrees, fun?) You will not be sorry with highspeed

Be prepared to be spoiled. once you get it, you'll never be able to go back to dial-up!

I second that You definately will be spoiled Even when all three of our computers are using the internet, they are still faster then dial up

Hell ya! Just dont go with DSL, its soo slow! Get Optimum Online, its 150X faster then dial-up, and 3 X faster then DSL, + It works great with a brand new Dell XPS Computer with 3.4 gigproccesor and Hyper threading tech and all that good stuff

Once you go cable you never go back.

BTW A64 walks all over Intel. My rig is as follows.

A64 3200+ with 1meg L2 cache highly overclocked.
K8N Neo platinum motherboard
1gig pc3200 HyperX ram
120gig Sata hard drive
6800GT video card
Audigy 2 sound card

EDIT---Thats G@Y, this board doesnt allow me to post pics in the thread.

Just remember cable is shared bandwith and dsl is dedicated. So if you are online in an area with a bunch of bandwith hogs or too many people on the system, your cable speeds will suffer. I wouldn't get cable here unless i had too, if the internet is down as much as the tv signal is, i'd be rather mad.
