my 07 has the "slap". I replaced the tensioner 3 times and nothing changed. This is all when it had just a few miles on it. I was obsessed with the issue till the guys on RinconRiders forum told me its nothing to be concerned with. It does it mostly at idle while in gear and calms greatly when put back into N and goes away while riding. Ive used light and heavy oil in both conventional and synthetic and none have any affect on the sound. The rocker arms are solid so they ting a little even when adjusted perfectly. This all is considered common and normal by Rincon vetrans. It has the characteristic of a noisy motor and tc slapping. My advise is do routine maintence and just ride it and dont read too much into the slapping because its very common in most rincons.
