Default 400ex rear shock

Is it common to have to recharge the rear shock on a 400ex?
Mine is set on full hard settings on rebound and dampening, and still is pretty soft!!

i've got an 01 400ex that has ben raced sine it was new, i am only 165 lbs and find myself bottoming out on whoops and even small flat landing jumps. i need to work on mine also: i have already replaced the front shocks with 450r shocks, big improvement!

it can be revalved and serviced to meet your riding style and weight if need be. this is what i would do, but it will cost more. however, you will get better performance out of it.
