I'm not sure if toe-out is the right term but anyway. I was walking up to my Rubicon looking at it head on and noticed that both front tires are pointing slightly outward with the steering pointed straight. I measured the back of the front tires from exact center to center at 35 5/8" and the front of the front tires at 37 1/4" center to center. Is this normal? Does anyone know the proper specs.

RubiRider:

Those measurements aren"t correct you will need to adjust your tie rod ends. Center the handle bars, and then measure with a carpenters tape line with 1" wide blade. Hook the blade over the rear rack just outside of the welded on back stop, from there to the end of the handle bar grips should be 47 1/8" on both sides. Once you have centered the bars, use a cam buckle tie down, and hook one end on the inside of each handle bar grip and the other end to the front rack. You will need to draw both tie downs quiet snug to keep the handle bars from moving, make sure they measure the same from both sides of the back rack. The next step you need to tie a line string from the trailer hitch go up the right side ot the ATV and drown the left side, draw the string tight and tie the loose end to the hitch, make sure the string is centered on the tires. You may need to push or pull the ATV so it will go between the ***** on the tires. Now you are ready to adjust the tie rod ends. Toe the tires in until there is 1/4" between the rear of the front tire and the string lock down and proceed to the other front wheel. Constntly check to make sure the handle bars don't move, keep the 47 1/8" distance on both sides. When the procedure is complete your tires should measure 36 1/4" on the front side and 36 1/2" on the back side. Cornering will be a lot better with a little toe in. If you desire more toe in just reduce the distance between the string and back side of the front tire by 1/16" at a setting.

"By the way RubiRider check out my post on Ruby egine braking, and let e know which drive mode your bike brakes best in when you let off the throttle. Good luck with your adjustments!

It has already been determined that ATV front alignment should be "toe-out' as specified by the manufacturer for stability at speed opposed to that of a car which would be toe-in.
Rather then go into a lengthy post I have a procedure for front end alignment under Tech Tips on my web site.

From the service manual:
tie-rod distance between the ball joints:
382 +/- 1 (15.0 +/- 0.04)
Toe out:
24 +/- 15 (1 +/- 9/16)
