If you get the hmf utility pipe with a k&n filter it totally changes the bike,it gives you extra power you need on hills or to keep up with buddies on rincons and 700 prairies. If i'm in the front on nice tight ,fast trails I can leave the prairie because of handling. You can have the fastest race car but the better handling one is going too win..The rincon is very fast with a hmf pipe,it will smoke the prairie on trails because it outhandles it big time.My friend with the prairie said he never dreamed the pipe would change the rancher at so much..If it is wide open road he still can leave me but not on the trails,it's amazing! We are hardcore riders and are blessed with excellent grounds too ride on no matter what weather we go as much as possible..I'm glad i joined this site so i could share my honest opinions with you guys,it's an interesting site..

It's not real loud,I'm not exact on the dbs compared too stock..It revs higher also, great power. It runs like a 400 should run.It made it fun again for me because i needed more power..You would probably like it alot unless you hunt all the time.My buddies say it's not bad at all and they dont like real loud pipes. We ride hard and i ride with 700's,650's and now i can keep up..

BareTread-I had been running a K&N and FMF MegaMaxII on my Rancher 350's. I ride these bikes almost exclusively in the national forest, so I take the 96dB sound limits seriously. So, I recentaly put a quiet core in the mufflers, and decided to go back to a UNI foam filter from the K&N (I just like the greater security of foam). The drop in power was pretty noticeable! I am still better than stock, but unfortunately not as good as I was before.
mpr-What are you running for tires? I am running ITP Holeshot ATR's, on ITP 12X7" wheels, and it is a whole different machine! Wider for more staility, and way more sporty ride. It's something I highly recommend.
